Hospital Records & 3D Productions present: ◄◄◄ HOSPITALITY TOUR ►►► Feat: ✳✳Metrik✳✳ Tom Mundell a.k.a Metrik is a London based DJ / producer who has been blowing the scene to pieces with his euphoric, rave-inspired productions. Already clocking up a sizeable back catalogue of releases on labels such as Viper Recordings, Spearhead and Shogun Audio, he signed exclusively to Hospital Records in October 2012. Known for impressing crowds across the UK, Europe and across the world with his peaktime dancefloor tunes featuring big hooks and catchy melodies, Metrik has certainly captured the imagination of many fans already and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the coming months and years. With diverse tastes ranging from Eric Prydz to Incubus, Pink Floyd to The Prodigy, Metrik's love of music doesn't stop there. An avid fan of 80s synth music, film music as well as dance music across the board, his influences span house, techno, trance, rock, soul, classical and 80s synth music. Metrik's first big break was in 2008, when he debuted with Your World (Instrinsic) which became an overnight liquid funk anthem / considered a classic by many (or something similar!) although it wasn't until the next release that he was catapulted into the spotlight when his track "Technicolour" gained Radio One support from Annie Mac and Zane Lowe and was also used as a sound bed for Barack Obama's victory speech on Radio One! Following this came a slew of singles and EPs with notable releases including the sci-fi inspired "Between Worlds EP" (Viper, 2011) and most recently the smash hit "Freefall" (Viper, 2012) as well as remixes of Prydz, John B, Camo & Krooked, Ayah Marar, Rockwell, DJ Fresh, Dirtyphonics and many more. ✳✳Nu:Tone✳✳ Since signing to Hospital in 2003, Nu:Tone has risen through the ranks to become one of the most highly respected producers in the scene, with everyone from LTJ Bukem to Sub Focus busting his tunes. Nu:Tone’s debut album “Brave Nu World“ dropped in 2005 with all...

The Complex

The Complex / Select Sound / Dead Nation presents J COLE Forest Hills Drive Tour with BAS, COZZ & OMEN Doors: 7:00 PM Tickets on sale 02/14/15 showclix.com smithstix.com All Smith's Tix Outlets All Graywhale Stores The Complex Box Office Producer and MC J. Cole was the first artist to signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. Born in Germany but raised in North Carolina, Cole grew up with a mother who loved rock and folk while his father was a fan of hardcore hip-hop artists like 2Pac and Ice Cube. Graduating high school, his grades were good enough to earn a scholarship, but hip-hop had taken hold of his life and he had decided that N.Y.C. was where artists went to get signed. As such, he attended the city’s St. John's University on an academic scholarship. After numerous days standing outside Jay-Z’s office in hopes of giving him a demo, Cole finally ran into his idol, but the reception was well below chilly. He was shocked then when he received a call from the man weeks later, and even more shocked when he got a chance to contribute to Jay-Z’s 2009 effort The Blueprint 3. That same year he would release the mixtape The Warm Up while 2010 saw the Friday Night Lights mixtape appear, with Cole handling most of the production. A year later, Roc Nation released his official debut, Cole World: The Sideline Story, which debuted on top of the Billboard 200. Featuring the single "Power Trip," Born Sinner followed in 2013 with guest appearances from Miguel, TLC, and Kendrick Lamar. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi - See more at: thecomplexslc.com

TV Lounge

2548 Grand River Ave

48201-2520 Detroit

TV Lounge 2548 Grand River Ave. Detroit, MI 48201 Doors at 9pm 21+ Support from: Caleb Calloway Limited $10 pre-sale tickets available at: bit.ly - - - If you’ve seen LOCO DICE perform at his ten-year-long Tribehouse residency in his hometown Düsseldorf, or at DC- 10 in Ibiza (from ’02-’06), you will have clicked to this. Loco Dice is someone, who can puzzle together intangible moods with a direct approach. Every so often a DJ or producer comes along who inspires the collective imagination. Via his DJ sets or his productions on labels like M_nus, Cadenza, Ovum, Four Twenty and Cocoon, he merges perspectives in his delicate sense for sounds and reflective atmospheres, underpinned with solid, physical grooves inspired by the hip hop that was his early sonic stomping ground in the mid- to late ‘90s. There’s something there for the dreamers, as well as for the 9-to-5ers who just want to lose everything in a moment of abandon on the dancefloor. Don’t think that merging of perspectives is accidental. This Loco Dice, with his mercurial temperament, may let his thoughts run away with him, but he tends to chase those ideas and make them into an artistic reality. His DJ sets, whether at Germany’s biggest rave Timewarp, Cocoon in Ibiza or a beach party in South America, are spontaneous orchestrations fueled by the nuances of a night/venue/crowd. He began a fruitful studio partnership with Martin Buttrich in 2002 leading to tracks like Phatt Dope Shit, MeninaBrasiliera, and Seeing ThroughShadows, and Dice meticulously plans these productions. It’s a directorial, cinematic outlook, which permeates Dice’s everyday life, and comes not just from the outlandish escapades and scrapes that he has sometimes found himself living out in real life. It also stems from elaborate film scripts imagined as a young Loco Dice on the streets of Flingern in Düsseldorf and the Kerkennah Islands in Tunisia. This continues to be a habit of Loco Dice’s today: to close his eyes for just...
